Chicken and Mushroom Baked Gnocchi Recipe
A luxurious Chicken and Mushroom Baked Gnocchi recipe which pairs gnocchi, chicken, and mushrooms with a decadent cream sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 3 cups Gnocchi, premade
- 2 Chicken Breasts, diced
- 3 cups Button Mushrooms, sliced
- 2 Onions, medium, chopped
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Whole Milk
- 2 cups Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- ¼ cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- Fresh Parsley, for garnish
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
- Pat the boneless chicken breasts dry and cut them into equal pieces. Set them aside.
- Place a pan over medium heat and add butter.
- Once the butter melts, add onions and sauté them for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for a minute or until fragrant.
- Add diced chicken and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, then set them on a separate plate.
- Cook the sliced mushrooms in the same pan for 5 to 8 minutes.
- Combine the vegetables and chicken together then pour in the heavy cream and milk. Mix well. Season with black pepper and salt. Let the mixture cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, boil the gnocchi until they float on the water’s surface. Drain the gnocchi and add it directly to the saute pan and stir in ½ cup of parmesan cheese. Mix gently.
- Pour this mixture into your prepared baking dish.
- Top the gnocchi mixture with the remaining parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake it for 20 to 25 minutes or until the top becomes golden.
- Take the dish out of the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve.
Notes
- You can use any type of mushroom you want in this chicken and mushroom baked gnocchi.
