Ground Turkey, Tomato, and Spinach Stuffed Shells Recipe
A luxurious Ground Turkey, Tomato, and Spinach Stuffed Shells recipe which pairs jumbo pasta shells with a decadent tomato, turkey, and spinach filling.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces Jumbo Shells
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- ⅔ pound Turkey, ground
- 1 small Onion, diced
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 cups Spinach, fresh
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- 2 cups Canned Tomatoes, whole
- 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
- ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese
- ½ cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- Black Pepper, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- Parsley, fresh
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
- Fill a pot with water and place it over high heat. Season it with salt. Once the water starts to boil, turn the heat to medium-high and cook the pasta shells until al dente.
- Drain the shells, cover them with a wet kitchen towel then set them aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pot. Add diced onion and cook for 2 minutes or until translucent. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add ground turkey and cook for 7 minutes. Season it with Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
- Incorporate the tomato paste and canned tomatoes. Mix well and let it cook until everything comes together and there is no liquid in the mixture.
- Add chopped fresh spinach and cook for a minute or two until the spinach wilts.
- Put the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated parmesan cheese in a bowl and mix well.
- Scoop the turkey and tomato mixture and stuff it in the jumbo pasta shell. Place the stuffed shell in a baking tray. Repeat the process until you have filled all the shells.
- Top the shells with the cheese mixture.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, serve, and enjoy.

Notes
- You can replace ground turkey with chicken or beef if you prefer.
- Cut down on the prep by using canned marinara sauce instead of canned tomatoes and seasonings.
