Product Description
Why is Safe Catch Elite the Official Tuna of the American Pregnancy Association?
At Safe Catch food purity is paramount. We want to give consumers nutritious seafood they can feel confident in eating, while also protect purity in our oceans, lakes, and rivers.
Because of our innovative testing method and strict mercury limits, Safe Catch Elite and Ahi are the only tuna brands to meet Consumer Reports’ Low-Mercury Criteria for sensitive populations like pregnant moms and kids and has gained the respect and is the official tuna of the American Pregnancy Association.
How can Safe Catch be the ONLY brand that tests every tuna for mercury?
Mercury levels between two individual tuna can vary widely even between two tuna of the same size, same school and from the same location. The only way to know the purity of a fish is to test it. We partnered with engineers and scientists to develop a proprietary technology that can test each and every tuna for mercury. No other brand does this.
Safe Catch has tested over 2,000,000 fish to date. Every fish used in Safe Catch Ahi, Wild Yellowfin tuna is tested to a mercury limit 10 TIMES stricter than the FDA limit. If the fish does not pass our strict standards, Safe Catch does not buy the fish. They are still good fish, they’re just not Safe Catch fish.
For maximum Omega3 benefit, do not drain
Conventional brands pre-cook fish on racks, draining away healthy nutrients and Omega3 oils. It is then packed in water, oil or often a GMO broth and cooked again. This impairs natural flavor and texture.
Safe Catch does it differently. We hand pack raw, sashimi-grade fish in the can and then slow cook each one to perfection in its own natural juices. This retains 100% of the tuna’s vital oils and freshness.
Do not drain Safe Catch tuna. There are no additives and fillers—just pure tuna in each can!
Health coaches love Safe Catch

I put Toaste Sesame seed oil on it, topped with ground or fresh garlic, some Lime juice, some Tamari and a bit of GInger. Had it with a salad. Now I dont have to wait til my store has fresh Ahi Tuna. I could have put it in the toaster oven to heat it up and it probably would have been even better.
It will also taste great ,warmed with Mango Salsa
Made it today copying my favorite Bonefish Dinner. Ahi TUna with Mango Salsa and garlic whipped potatoes.
I made mashed potatoes 1lb. with 2 garlic cubes from Trader Joe Israeli frozen cubes. Mixed in butter and sour cream. Put 2 5 oz. cans ( one for each of us) in a corning ware dish that I poured some Toasted sesame seed oil in and put some oil on top. Heated it for 1 minute in the microwave.
Earlier I made some Mango Salsa with 1 diced Mango, 2 tablespoon ( or 2 if you like) of diced red onion.
2 tablespoons celantro that I have been growing in my Aero Garden, I omitted pepper, and added 3 tablespoon lime juice. Heated it for 45 seconds in Microwave. Served on plate with the Mango on the side. You put it on top of the fish. Fabulous. Just as good as what I get at Bonefish for $20 per person. Cost for 2 cans, Ahi Tuna, salsa, potato was under $4 per person. Just delicious.
Dont drain the can of the liquid when you make the fish.
Love it.
