Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a round cake baking pan.
For preparing the cake, in a large mixing bowl, combine eggs and sugar. Whisk until you obtain a creamy and homogeneous mixture.
Add milk, melted butter, vegetable oil, and a few drops of vanilla extract. Whisk again to combine.
Add flour combined with baking powder. Mix well again until homogeneous and lump-free.
Pour the mixture into the cake pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
Remove the cake from the pan and let it cool completely.
Slice the cake with a sharp long cake knife in two equal layers.
Prepare the cream by placing egg yolks and sugar in a mixing bowl. Whisk until homogeneous and creamy.
Add in whipped cream and whisk until combined.
Stir in mascarpone cheese.
Place the bottom layer of the cake onto a cake plate and sprinkle it with coffee.
Spread half of the cream and level it with a spatula.
Cover with the second cake layer and spread the remaining amount of the cream.
Place the cake in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours before serving.
Serve sprinkled with cocoa powder.
