Meatball Recipe without Bread Crumbs
A luxurious meatball recipe that doesn’t use any bread crumbs.
2/3 lb ground beef 1/3 lb ground pork 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated 1/3 cup heavy cream 1 egg 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped 1/3 teaspoon onion powder 1/3 teaspoon garlic powder salt, to taste black pepper, to taste nutmeg, a pinch 4 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin 2 cups marinara sauce 1-2 cups dry mozzarella, grated
Preheat the oven to 325°F.
Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Use greased hands to mix the ingredients until homogeneous.
Shape 12 meatballs.
Heat extra virgin olive oil in a cast-iron skillet.
Add meatballs and cook for 10 minutes. Toss often so they can cook evenly.
Add marinara sauce, toss to combine. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 12 minutes.
Sprinkle with grated mozzarella and bake in the oven until the cheese has melted.
Serve and enjoy!
Serve with pasta or toasted wheat bread.
You can also combine grated parmesan cheese with dry mozzarella.
