Prosciutto Crostini Recipe
A luxurious Prosciutto Crostini recipe that pairs toasted baguette slices with decadent cream cheese and prosciutto topping.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf Baguette
- Olive Oil, to taste
- 8 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
- 10 ounces Prosciutto, thinly sliced
- Black Pepper, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- Basil, optional garnish
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the baguette on a cutting board and cut it into 16 thin slices. Lay them in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush oil on the bread slices and add salt and pepper (if desired).
- Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes until crisp.
- Meanwhile, cut the prosciutto slices in half and prep them to place on top of the crostini.
- Chiffonade and cut the basil if you plan on garnishing the appetizers.
- Use a butter knife to spread a layer of cream cheese on the toasted crostini, then add one prosciutto slice to each of the bread slices.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
Notes
- Feel free to add fresh parmesan cheese on top of your prosciutto crostini appetizers.
