Tomato Burrata Pasta Recipe
A luxurious Tomato Burrata Pasta recipe which pairs bucatini with a decadent tomato, burrata, and basil topping.
Ingredients
- ½ pound Bucatini Noodles
- 3 cups Tomatoes, fresh
- 6 Garlic Cloves, minced
- ¼ cup Olive Oil
- ½ teaspoon Basil, dried
- ¼ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
- 8 ounces Burrata Cheese
- Salt, to taste
- Black Pepper, to taste
Garnish
- 1 bunch Basil, finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons Pine Nuts, toasted
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the garlic, and cook for one to two minutes before adding dried basil, and red pepper flakes.
- Next, toss the tomatoes in the oil and season with a generous pinch of salt and pepper.
- Cook the tomatoes for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Meanwhile, get a pot of water salted and put it on high heat. Next, boil the pasta until al dente.
- Drain the pasta and immediately add it to the skillet.
- Thoroughly coat the noodles.
- Remove the pan from the heat and add fresh basil.
- Add as many bite-sized pieces of burrata cheese as you prefer.
- Garnish with pine nuts before serving, and enjoy.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute pine nuts with almonds or cashews.
- If you don’t have bucatini, you can switch it out for spaghetti or linguine pasta.
