The flavor of this no-sauce spaghetti comes from garlic, juicy tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. This recipe is ideal for a quick lunch and you can easily customize it to make it your own.
Buttery Parmesan and Tomato Spaghetti with No Sauce
A luxurious Buttery Parmesan and Tomato Spaghetti recipe with No Sauce which pairs spaghetti with a decadent tomato and parmesan topping.
Ingredients
- 250 g Spaghetti noodles
- 4 Tbsp Butter
- 6 Garlic cloves, freshly minced
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 1 ½ cup Cherry tomatoes, halved
- ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon Black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions
- Season a pot of water with salt and bring it to a boil. Once the water starts to boil, add the pasta and cook it according to the package instructions or until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving some of the pasta water.
- Add butter to a skillet and place it over medium heat.
- Once the butter melts, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 to 40 seconds until fragrant.
- Now add the halved cherry tomatoes and cook for a minute or two.
- Season with Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt.
- Add a splash of pasta water and mix well.
- Stir in the cooked pasta.
- Add parmesan cheese, setting aside about two tablespoons for garnish.
- Stir everything together and garnish the dish with grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves. Enjoy!
Notes
- You can add a tablespoon of olive oil along with butter at the beginning.
- To make this pasta more flavorsome, add fresh spinach leaves.
- You can opt for grape tomatoes or regular tomatoes if you can’t find cherry tomatoes.
- For a bit of heat, add red chili flakes at the end.
- If you don’t have spaghetti, you can substitute it with any other pasta such as linguine.
- Add shrimp or leftover chicken to turn it into a heartier meal.
