Ingredients
- 1 pound Shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tails removed
- 3 tablespoons Butter, divided
- 3 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon Tomato Paste
- ¼ cup Heavy Cream
- ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
- ¼ teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- Black Pepper, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Add butter to a large pan and place it over medium-high heat.
- When the butter melts, add the shrimp to the pan and cook one side for 2 minutes or until it turns pink, then flip it and continue cooking until it is opaque. Take the shrimp out of the pan and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining butter to the pan. Once the butter melts, add garlic and cook for 1 minute or until it is fragrant.
- Add tomato paste and cook for a minute. Now add heavy cream and mix well. Season with Italian seasoning.
- Add parmesan cheese and continue to cook until the cheese melts and you get a thick creamy sauce.
- Add the shrimp back to the pan and stir everything together. Season with salt and black pepper and serve warm.
Notes
- Feel free to add cherry tomatoes or baby spinach to enhance the flavor of your Tuscan butter shrimp.
- For a richer sauce, increase the amount of tomato paste or incorporate some tomato puree.
- If you prefer a creamier sauce, you can add a touch of heavy cream.
- If you are using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely before cooking.
